Mary K. Adams
Mary Katherine Adams, 90, Depauw, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010, at her home.
Born March 23, 1920, at Rockport, she was the daughter of the late Harry M. and Cordia M. Gurtz Bush.
She was a homemaker and a member of Unity Chapel United Methodist Church near Ramsey.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Adams; a twin sister at birth, Annette L. Bush; and seven step-siblings, Olive Rae Kinder, Helen Darcy, Cletis Pinaire and William, Robert, Carl R. and Keith Churchill.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel F. Adams; four sons, Danny Adams of Orleans, Mark Adams of Chattanooga, Tenn., and John and Joe Adams, both of Depauw; seven daughters, Sue Fessel, Ann Baker, Linda Swaney and Jane Whittaker, all of Depauw, Sheila McIntyre and Lura Byrd, both of Georgetown, and Louetta Roll of Salem; a sister, Annette Fouts of Corydon; a half sister Judith Thomas of Corydon; a stepsister, Mary Lou Howerton of Corydon; 31 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday, Nov. 28, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 29, after 9 a.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Funeral: Monday, Nov. 29, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Mount Zion Cemetery near Depauw.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Mount Zion Cemetery Fund.
