Johnnie B. Martin

Johnnie B. Martin, 80, New Salisbury, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born June 5, 1930, he was the son of the late Sidney W. and Susan Peters Martin.
He was a retired farmer from Ramsey Popcorn Co., a former Harrison County 4-H leader and a member of Pork Producers Association and St. Bernard Catholic Church in Frenchtown.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Joann Bugg, and a grandchild, Casey Emily.
Survivors include three sons, Johnnie Dan Martin of Jeffersonville, Ronald D. Martin of Corydon and Philip Martin of Palmyra; two daughters, Nancy Leffler of Depauw and Lu Ann Emily of Crandall; a brother, Chester S. Martin of Kuttawa, Ky.; a sister, Virginia Harris of Princeton, Ky.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, Nov. 29, from 3 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 30, after 8 a.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Funeral: Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Frenchtown with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery near Crandall.
