Eugene Saltsgaver

Eugene Saltsgaver, 81, Palmyra, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at his home.
Born Feb. 21, 1929, at Milltown, he was the son of the late Roscoe and Mamie Bye Saltsgaver.
He retired from General Electric Co. in Louisville and was a member of Philadelphia Church of God in Edmund, Okla.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Ray Saltsgaver.
Survivors include his wife, the former Geneva P. Cook; a son, Robert E. Saltsgaver; two daughters, Norma Jane Harbeson of Elizabeth and Joyce Ann Black of Jeffersonville; two brothers, Paul Saltsgaver of Louisville and Donald Saltsgaver of Elizabeth; six sisters, Norma Draper of Sulphur, Ruth Barrentine of Louisville, Mary Lee of Metamora, Riva Roggenkamp of Lexington, Ky., Alice Lutz of Sulphur and Alma (Sissie) Medley of Elizabethtown, Ky.; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, Nov. 15, from 3 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 16, after 10 a.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Funeral: Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 1 p .m. at the funeral home with burial in El Bethel Cemetery near Marengo.
