David R. Adams

David Ray Adams, 72, Palmyra, died Sunday evening, Oct. 24, 2010.
Born May 20, 1938, in Benson, N.C., he was the son of the late John D. and Velma M. Tart Adams.
He was a retired painter and carpenter.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Capps.
Survivors include his wife, the former Wanda J. Goodlett; six children, Tony Adams and Richard and John Thacker, all of Palmyra, Lisa Jackson-Gregory of Greenville, Bob Thacker of Goshen, Ky., and James (Rusty) Thacker of Mount Eden, Ky.; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen.
Memorial visitation: Saturday, Oct. 30, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home in New Albany followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
