Jane May Jane May

Veneva Jane Weaver May, 92, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, in San Angelo, Texas, at the home of her daughter.
Born Feb. 12, 1918, in Detroit, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Dr. Thomas Jefferson Weaver and Mary Iduma Funk.
She graduated from Elizabeth High School in 1935, attended nurse’s training, was a homemaker and a lifelong Presbyterian who served as an elder at Elizabeth Presbyterian Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Merrill Glend May, in 2000, and a brother, Thomas Funk Weaver, in 1999.
Survivors include two sons, Merrill Thomas (Pinky) May of San Antonio and Milton Scott May of Bradenton, Fla.; a daughter, Mira Jane La Beau; five grandchildren; and 14 great-children.
Visitation: Wednesday, Oct. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, Oct. 7, at 2 p.m. at Corydon Presbyterian Church with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Pallbearers: James A. Crosier, Thomas O. Funk, Judge Kenneth Lynn Lopp, Merrill A. (Art) May, R. Glenn May and Mark Wolpert.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
