Thomas H. Holman

Thomas H. Holman, 81, Palmyra, formerly of Russellville, Ky., died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born Dec. 4, 1928, in Logan County, Ky., he was the son of the late Thomas Henry Holman and Jessie Maud McMillan Holman.
He was retired from A & P Warehouse, was a farmer and was a member of the Teamsters Union.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Frances Imogene Trice.
Survivors include a son, Gary Holman of Columbia, Tenn.; a daughter, Delores Holman of Jeffersonville; a brother, James Holman of Russellville; four sisters, Paretta Markham of Adams, Tenn., Roberta Houchens of Russellville, Mildred Jones of Bowling Green, Ky., and Cordelia Nash of Louisville; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Visitation: Sunday, Sept. 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Monday, Sept. 20, after 8 a.m. at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home in Russellville.
Funeral: Monday, Sept. 20, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Officiant: Pastor Dave Baker.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society.
