Norma K. Griffey
Norma Kay Griffey, 69, Corydon, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.
Born Jan. 22, 1941, in Corydon, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Alliene Shireman Bottorff.
She was a licensed practical nurse at Norton Hospital in Louisville and a member of Northside Christian Church in New Albany.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Griffey; a daughter, Janice Griffey; and a brother, Bud Bottorff.
Survivors include five sons, Dennis Jacobs of Wilmington, Del., Jeff Griffey of Mulica Hills, N.J., Mark Griffey of Morton, Pa., Martin Griffey of Secane, Pa., and Richard Griffey of Sellersburg; five daughters, Michele Stensrud of Clarksville, Leah Ann Garibay of Parkview, Pa., Annette Waldridge and Linda Griffey, both of Louisville, and Marcella Morris of Missouri; a brother, Keith Bottorff; 24 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday, Aug. 29, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Monday, Aug. 30, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Monday, Aug. 30, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: Pastor Tom Franklin.
Pallbearers: Dennis Jacobs, Jeff, Martin, Dennis and Shawn Griffey, Luke Osborne, Scott May and Chris Gray.
