Roscoe C. McClure

Roscoe Carl (Red) McClure, 94, New Albany, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born Oct. 10, 1915, in Corydon, he was the son of the late Thomas and Marietta McClure.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, a former employee of ICI America in Charlestown and, for some 57 years, was a meat cutter and employee at the old Schmidt Market and was a lifetime member of Floyd County VFW Post 1693 in New Albany.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Marjorie Sims.
Survivors include four children, Jeannie L. Freiberger of New Albany, Judy Catlett of Louisville and Carol A. Money and William R. Wisenbaler, both of New Albany; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Funeral: Sunday, Aug. 15, at Kraft Spring St. Funeral Chapel in New Albany with burial and military honors Thursday, Aug. 19, at 3 p.m. at New Albany National Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Hosparus/Hospice of Southern Indiana.
