Cecil Wayne Fravel, 90, Corydon, died Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, at his home.
Born Oct. 2, 1919, in Harrison County, he was the son of the late Amzie O. and Emma E. Brown Fravel.
He was a retired school bus driver for the South Harrison Community School Corp., a farmer, a member of Heidelberg United Methodist Church, American Legion, Southern Indiana Draft Horse Association, Harrison County Horse Patrol and the board of directors of Old Capital ERMC, a lifelong member of Old Capitol Saddle Club and an Army veteran of World War II.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elma E. (Red) Lang Fravel.
Survivors include two sons, C. Wayne Fravel Jr. and Timothy Lee Fravel, both of Corydon; two daughters, Donna Sue Sutherland of Lanesville and Beverly Jean McAdams of Corydon; a brother, Harold Fravel of Corydon; a sister, Ruby Amburgey of Sellersburg; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Monday, Aug. 16, at 10 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home with burial in Heidelberg Cemetery, both in Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Mike Collins.
Pallbearers: Lewis, Brian, Tom and Doug Fravel and Chris and Dudley McAdams.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Heidelberg Cemetery Fund.
