Henry L. Sanford

Henry L. Sanford, 86, Palmyra, died Saturday, June 19, 2010, at St. Vincent Hospital of Salem.
Born Oct. 31, 1923, in Mercer County, Ky., he was the son of the late Taylor and Gertrude Baxter Sanford.
He was a truck driver and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two sons, Tony L. Sanford of Marengo and Eddie Sanford of Harrodsburg, Ky.; a daughter, Anne Burkhead of Mount Eden, Ky.; four brothers, Lonnie and Lawrence Sanford, both of Lawrenceburg, Ky., Carroll Sanford of Harrodsburg and Glenn Sanford of Jeffersontown, Ky.; his companion, Mary E. Poole of Palmyra; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, June 21, from 3 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 22, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, June 23, after 10 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Milltown.
Funeral: Wednesday, June 23, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with interment in Palmyra Cemetery.
Officiants: The Rev. Toney McCutcheon and Marcia Dodge.
Pallbearers: James Lynch, Rex Miller, David Hensley, David Rothrock, Terry Jones and Sonny Day.
