Otis H. Whittaker

Otis H. Whittaker, 82, Depauw, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born Sept. 25, 1927, at Mooresville, Ky., he was the son of the late Harlen and Ora Adams Whittaker.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, retired from Uhl Truck Sales in Palmyra and a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Frenchtown.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Whittaker, and two sisters, Mary Katherine Stevens and Edwina Coe.
Survivors include his wife, the former Phyllis J. Colin; a son, Steve Whittaker of Depauw; a daughter, Diana Harris of Depauw; a sister, Beulah (Bootsie) Wright of Tunnelton; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, June 16, from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 17, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Friday, June 18, after 8 a.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Funeral: Friday, June 18, at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church with burial and military rites in the church cemetery.
