Flossie R. Amburn

Flossie Rae Patrick Amburn, 94, New Salisbury, died Friday, May 21, 2010, at 4:45 p.m. at Indian Creek Health & Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born Sept. 17, 1915, in Wolfe County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Noah Patrick and Southie Taulbee.
She was retired from the old M. Fine and Son Shirt Factory in New Albany after 30 years and a member of Marengo United Methodist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Ray Amburn; three brothers, Orville, Orlie and Ova Patrick; and two sisters, Martha Ellen Patrick and Beulah Cecil.
Survivors include two children, Betty Huber of New Salisbury and Jack Amburn of Jacks Creek, Tenn.; a brother, the Rev. Osa Patrick of Ellijay, Ga.; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation: Monday, May 24, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, May 25, after 9 a.m. at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo.
Funeral: Tuesday, May 25, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Woods Chapel Cemetery near Ramsey.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Marengo United Methodist Church building fund or Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
