Frankie L. Daily

Frankie Lee Daily, 78, LaRue, Ohio, died Thursday May 13, 2010, at his home after a brief illness.
Born Oct. 10, 1931, in Corydon, he was the son of the late John I. and Goldie Smith Daily.
He was an Air Force veteran, retiring in 1972 with 24 years of service as a medical technician. He served during the end of the Berlin Air Lift in Germany and later on tours of Japan, Germany, Alaska, Turkey and numerous bases across the United States. After retiring from the service, he worked at Marion Power Shovel in its medical department and Marion Correctional Institute until he retired in 1998. He was a member of VFW Post 7201 in Marion, the Moose Lodge, Marion Council Royal & Select Masons 22, Shriners of North America, Marion Shrine Club, Scottish Rites, Vera Chapter 64 Order of the Eastern Star, Marion Lodge 70 F&AM, Caledonia Odd Fellows, Marion Knights Templar, Public Employees Retirees, New Vision Senior Center and the Green Camp Lions Club.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Marts.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, the former Mary Frances Bohnenstiehl; three daughters, Terry Tarvin of LaRue, Loretta Kroupa of Houston and Victoria Johnson of Green Camp, Ohio; three sons, Richard and John Daily, both of LaRue, and Michael Daily of Green Camp; two brothers, William Daily of Sellersburg and John David Daily of Corydon; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Wednesday, May 19, at 10 a.m. at Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home in Marion followed by burial, with military honors by the Marion County United Veterans Council, at LaRue Cemetery.
Officiant: Pastor Dave Lippert.
