Teams get look at sectional competition
Ten of the 11 participants Saturday in the Southern Indiana Open at Hidden Creek Golf Club will face off again in less than a month for a shot at moving on to regional.
The Southern Indiana Open is a solid gauge of where each team is, going into the final few weeks of the boys’ golf regular season. Saturday’s weather conditions ‘ windy with cooler than normal temperatures ‘ provided a challenge for most.

North Harrison was paced by Alec Dones, who carded an 11-over par 83. Dones tallied seven pars on the day and notched a birdie on the 166-yard par-3 third hole. It was his lone birdie on the day.
Finishing behind Dones was teammate Daniel Matthews. He also carded seven pars and birdied the par-5 sixth hole. Matthews concluded the day with an 85.
Also scoring for North Harrison were Chris Bohnert (101), Matt Johnson (107) and Brent LaDuke (113).
Lanesville finished with a 392 team score, 22 strokes fewer than Southern Athletic Conference rival Henryville.
Pacing the Eagles was Andy Glomb, who carded a 15-over par 87. He was among four golfers tied for 11th place. Glomb birdied No. 6 and had seven pars to complete his day.
