Lamoine L. Harbeson

Lamoine Lesley (Mick) Harbeson, 83, Georgetown, died Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Green Valley Care Center in New Albany.
Born Feb. 18, 1927, in Corydon, he was the son of the late Claude and Effie Gehlbach Harbeson.
He was a laborer for U.S. Steel Homes in New Albany, and U.S. Steel Agri-Chemicals in Jeffersonville, a custodian for the New Albany-Floyd County schools, a lifetime member of Georgetown Optimist Club and VFW 1693 Hobart Beach Post in New Albany, a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville and a 50-50 ticket seller at Highlander Youth Recreation games.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Harbeson, and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Ann Rochner; three sons, John Harbeson of Sellersburg, Vince Harbeson of Greenville and Eric Harbeson of Georgetown; a daughter, Jane Weber of Georgetown; four brothers, Howard, Claude and Joe Harbeson, all of Corydon, and Donald Harbeson of Georgetown; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, May 11, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
Funeral: Tuesday, May 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville with burial in the church cemetery.
Celebrant: Father Mike Hilderbrand.
Pallbearers: Eric Harbeson, Kenny, Justin and Stephen Weber, Vince Harbeson and Sam Weissinger.
