Jimmy R. Adkins

Jimmy Ray Adkins, 74, New Salisbury, died Sunday, May 9, 2010.
Born July 22, 1935, he was the son of the late Amos Alonzo and Nellie Wallace Adkins.
He was a retired employee of Triple A Woodworking in Corydon Junction.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Eurvon, Weldon and Robert Adkins and Ruby Davis.
Survived include four children, Terry Adkins of New Salisbury, Suzanne Adkins of Louisville, Doreen Adkins of Clarksville and Trent Adkins of Jeffersonville; three siblings, Dorothy Aliene Henry and Betty Crone, both of New Salisbury, and Paul Adkins of Depauw; and three grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, May 11, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, May 12, after 10 a.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Funeral: Wednesday, May 12, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Central Barren Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or animal shelter of donor’s choice.
