J. Elnora Dowell

J. Elnora Jenkins Bube Dowell, 80, Corydon, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010, in Georgetown.
Born July 15, 1929, in Louisville, she was the daughter of the late Stanford Thomas and Olive Bessie Hicks Jenkins.
She was a former employee and volunteer at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, a former volunteer for the American Red Cross and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Bube Sr. and Russell F. Dowell, and two brothers, Harley and Charles Jenkins.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Bube Jr. and Jim Bube, both of Corydon; three daughters, Theresa Bauer of Corydon, Jeanne Scealf of Belton, Texas, and Carolyn Forbes of Jeffersonville; a brother, Bill Jenkins of Marengo; a sister, LaVerne Davis of Depauw; seven grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Visitation: Friday, April 23, from 2 to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 24, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral Mass: Saturday, April 24, at 11 a.m. at her church with burial in the church cemetery.
Officiant: Father Dan Atkins.
Pallbearers: Jason, Nicholas and Joe Bube, Erin Walter, Billy Joe Jenkins and John Napper.
