Dorothy M. Walton

Dorothy M. Walton, 85, Campbellsburg, died Friday, April 2, 2010, at St. Vincent Salem Hospital in Salem.
Born Feb. 23, 1925, at Lawrenceport, she was the daughter of the late John S. Smith and Mabel Beasley Smith.
She was a 1943 graduate of Mitchell High School, where she was a violinist in the school orchestra, was a pianist and expert marksman, was a homemaker, was a former employee of the old Smith General Store in Tunnelton and was a member of Mount Tabor Christian Church near Salem.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Jefferson Benjamin Walton, on Jan. 20, 1985; two infant children, Thomas S. and Elizabeth Sue Walton; a brother; and a sister.
Survivors include two daughters, Dottie P. Walton-Mosley and Mabel Ann Curran, both of Campbellsburg; a brother, John M. Smith of Dunedin, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
Funeral: Monday, April 5, at Dawalt Funeral Home in Salem with interment at Mount Tabor Cemetery.
Officiant: Pastor Brian Walton.
