Paul E. Pate

Paul E. Pate, 54, New Middletown, died Monday, March 15, 2010, at University Hospital in Louisville.
Born Oct. 14, 1955, in Corydon, he was the son of the late Otto and Ruby Christine Brandenburg Pate.
He was a maintenance man for the Harrison County Parks Department and a retired member of the New Middletown Town Council.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donnie and Russell Pate.
Survivors include two sons, Scott Pierce of Marengo and Jason Pierce of Jeffersonville; three daughters, Christine Pate of New Albany and Mary Braden and Veronica Pierce, both of Corydon; two brothers, Carl Pate of Corydon and Robert Pate of Central; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, March 17, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, March 18, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, March 18, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in New Middletown United Methodist Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Ted Chalk.
Pallbearers: Scott and Jason Pierce, Jonathan, Dustin and Christopher Pate, D.J. Ivers and B.J. Terry.
Honorary pallbearers: will be Brian Tillery, Bob Braden, Daniel and Jacob Mattingly and Rusty Pate.
