Kelso M. Dean

Kelso M. Dean, 92, Laconia, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born May 22, 1917, in Laconia, he was the son of the late Jerry and Mary Faith Dean.
He was a retired timber buyer and logger and a member of Pisgah Lodge 32 F&AM in Corydon, the Scottish Rite and Mauckport United Methodist Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Georgia Robson; three brothers, Herschel, Carl and Earl Dean; and three sisters, Grace Melton, Bonnie Stiller and Ruth Dooley.
Survivors include a son, Nelson R. Dean of Elizabeth; a daughter, Jenny Brown of Georgetown; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation: Saturday, March 13, from 2 to 8 p.m., with a Masonic service at 7, and Sunday, March 14, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Sunday, March 14, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Otterbein Cemetery near Laconia.
Officiant: The Rev. Greg Carter.
Pallbearers: Barry, Kelley, Isaac, Shane and Adam Brown and Chris Cunningham. Honorary pallbearers: Tim and Paul Dean, Chet Stiller, Mark Strauss, Marty Wiseman and Steve Dooley.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Otterbein Cemetery Fund.
