M. Wanda Simpson

Marguet Wanda Simpson, 87, Taswell, formerly of Lafayette, died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010, at 2:04 a.m. at University Hospital in Louisville.
Born May 24, 1922, in Crawford County, she was the daughter of the late George and Lena Kemp Coleman.
She was an inspector at ALCOA for 13 years and retired in 1987 and had been a member of the former Creasy Lane Baptist Church and the ALCOA retirees club.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Elmore Simpson, on March 27, 1984, and a granddaughter, Andrea Corbin.
Survivors include a son, Bobby D. Simpson of Lafayette; a sister, Myrtle Brumley of Corydon; a grandson; and two great-granddaughters.
Visitation: Sunday, Feb. 28, after 1 p.m. at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel.
Funeral: Sunday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with interment at Wyandotte Cemetery.
Officiant: Pastor Ross Terry.
