Lula M. Rogers

Lula M. Jenkins Rogers, 88, New Albany, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at Marion General Hospital.
Born April 1, 1921, in Marengo, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Mary Hawkins Jenkins.
She was formerly employed at the old ICI Americas in Charlestown and Colgate Co. in Clarksville and was a lifelong member of Mount Tabor Presbyterian Church in New Albany.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rogers, and two brothers, Russell and Floyd Jenkins.
Survivors include a son, Terry Lee Rogers of Peru; a daughter, Dorothy Louise Sweeney of Chula Vista, Calif.; three sisters, Britty Knight of Marengo, Juanita Cole of Leavenworth and Gertrude Cole of New Albany; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, Feb. 11, from 2 to 8 Kraft Funeral Service’s Spring Street Chapel.
Fueral: Friday, Feb. 12, at noon at the funeral home with entombment at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, both in New Albany.
Officiant: Pastor Jack Carmack.
