Jeanette Parker, 85, Speedway, formerly of Corydon, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, in the Methodist Hospital Yellow Rose Unit in Indianapolis.
Born May 4, 1924, in Corydon, she was the daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth and Tus Rowe.
She was a 1943 graduate of Corydon High School. She and her husband, the late Lewis Parker, started Parkers Watch Shop in 1951 in the Speedway area, and she was a member of the American Legion and a charter member of Speedway Methodist Church.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Jane Lavengood.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty and Jeanie; a son, Joe; a sister, Phyllis Funk; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, Jan. 22, at Conkle Funeral Home Speedway Chapel.
Funeral: Saturday, Jan. 23, at the funeral home with entombment in Floral Park Cemetery.
