Nichole M. Cummings-Nasief, 31, Georgetown, died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born Jan. 21, 1978, in Harrison County, she was a 2007 graduate of the University of Louisville School of Nursing and a registered nurse at Kosair Children’s Hospital Emergency Room.
Survivors include her husband, Chad Nasief; her father and stepmother, Stephen and Karen Cummings of Leavenworth; her mother and stepfather, Richard and Paula Spears Dodge of Corydon; a stepson, Tyler Bloomfield of Louisville; a stepdaughter, Jordan Bloomfield of Louisville; two brothers, Chad Cummings (Gretchen) of San Diego and Richard Dodge Jr. (Mindy) of Elizabeth; and two sisters, Brittany Cummings of Huntingburg and April Dodge of Corydon.
Visitation: Thursday, Jan. 7, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 8, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Friday, Jan. 8, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in St. Mary’s Church Cemetery in Lanesville.
Officiant: Father David Rabenecker.
Pallbearers: Greg and Tony Spears, T. Cole and Alan Hecht, Richard Dodge Jr. and Chad Cummings.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society.
