Ellen Kron, 77, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, at her home near Elizabeth.
Born Jan. 12, 1932, in Barboursville, Ky., she was the daughter of the late John B. and Lydia Bell Carpenter Jones.
She was a former owner and operator of Kron’s Flower Shop in Elizabeth, a former hostess at Caesars Indiana and a member of Elizabeth Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, the Hornickle Post American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Tri-County Shrine Guild Club.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. (Bob) Kron; two sisters, Nannie Stacey and Marie Voyles; and two brothers, Glenus and Beve Jones.
Survivors include two sons, Terry R. Kron of Middletown, Md., and C. Randell Kron of Cincinnati; a sister, Bernice Armstrong of Salem; and four grandchildren.
Visitation: Saturday, Jan. 9, after noon at Elizabeth Presbyterian Church of the Covenant.
Memorial service: Saturday, Jan. 9, at 2 p.m. at the church followed by burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.
Officiant: The Rev. Richard (Dick) Goodwin.
