Martin D. Keen

Martin D. (M.D.) Keen, 84, Elizabeth, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009.
Born Dec. 27, 1924, in West Palm Beach, Fla., he was the son of the late Henry and Cora Downs Keen.
He was a farmer, a retiree of E.I. DuPont, where he worked for 32 years, and a member of The Lighthouse United Methodist Church in Elizabeth.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Cora Leffler, Norma Logsdon, Nancy Ammons and Ruth Phillips.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, the former Gracie Gregory; a daughter, Jackie Ann Miller of New Albany; a son, John Keen of Floyds Knobs; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Dec. 9, from 3 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Dec .10, after 10 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
Funeral: Thursday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.
Officiants: The Revs. Alvin Wilson and Scott Ellis.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Hospice of Southern Indiana or The Lighthouse United Methodist Church.
