Anna L. Allen

Anna Lee (Ann) Singleton Allen, 78, of Clarksville, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany.
Born Aug. 9, 1931, in Hazard, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Lucian and Mae Gayheart Singleton.
She retired from Clarksville Community School Corp., worked for the Clarksville Police Department Safety Division and was a former member of Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Sellersburg.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene Wooldridge, and three brothers, Jack, Red and George Singleton.
Survivors include three children, Barb Keller of Corydon, Perry Knight of Lanesville and Carlene Grammer of New Albany; a sister, Rose Love of Georgetown; a brother, Jay Singleton of Louisville; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Her body donated to the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
Visitation: Wednesday, Nov. 25, after 5 p.m. at Generations Funeral Home in New Albany.
Memorial service: Wednesday, Nov. 25, at 7 p.m. in the Paul F. Kraft Sr. Memorial Chapel at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Diabetes Association or to the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
