Adrian A. Jacobs, 90, Mauckport, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born May 19, 1919, in Mauckport, he was the son of the late Alva and Nancy Applegate Jacobs.
He was retired from the Harrison County Highway Department, was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church near Mauckport, VFW 2950 in Corydon and Disabled American Veterans and was an Army Veteran of World War II.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Ethel Gardner; six brothers, Lonnie, Will, Jim, Carl, John and Noel Jacobs; and three sisters, Alma Lopp, Sylvia Shaffer and Ramona Faith.
Survivors include three brothers, Wayne Jacobs of New Albany, Earl Jacobs of Shepherdsville, Ky., and Darrell Jacobs of Elizabeth; two sisters, Rozella McKim of Corydon and Wanda Coe of New Albany.
Funeral: Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in Mount Zion Cemetery near Mauckport.
Pallbearers: Alvin and A.J. Green, Ronnie Faith, Doug Jacobs, James Coe, Gary Lawrence and Dan and Roger Jacobs.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Mount Zion Cemetery.
