Labon Richardson, 84, Corydon, died Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, at Corydon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Jan. 29, 1925, in Estill County, Ky., he was the son of the late L.D. and Mary Johnson Richardson.
He was a retired truck driver, an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II and a member of Corydon Baptist Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters and a grandson, Brent Richardson.
Survivors include his wife, the former Mildred Perry; four sons, Labon Richardson Jr. of Louisville, Marcus and Casey Richardson, both of Palmyra, and Richard Pepler of Chester, England; a daughter, Rhonda Jill Brown of Jeffersonville; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, Oct. 13, from from 3 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Oct. 14, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Jordan Cemetery near Corydon.
Pallbearers: Kenny and Jon Carpenter, Linzey Richardson and Scot, Dustin and Marcus Jr. Richardson.
