Laconia ready to celebrate

The 10th annual Celebrate Laconia festival will take place throughout the day Saturday in the small town located in southern Harrison County.
A 3-on-3 basketball tournament starts the event at 9 a.m., followed by a parade at 11.
Also at 11, there will be an apple pie bake-off contest and a horseshoe tournament.
An OK Corral gun re-enactment will take place twice (noon and 2:30 p.m.), and a Little Guys and Gals contest is scheduled for noon. There will be a car show from noon until 3 p.m.
An auction and cornhole tournament will be featured at 1 p.m.
Yard sale, craft and food booths will be open throughout the day, as will be a petting zoo, pony rides and live entertainment.
Celebrate Laconia wraps up with a dance from 7 to 11 p.m. in the old Laconia Grade School gymnasium, which was renovated this summer.
