Lola A. Batch

Lola Alice Batch, 85, Paoli, formerly of Birdseye, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at 11:20 p.m. at Paoli Health and Living Community.
Born Jan. 24, 1924, in Birdseye, she was the daughter of the late James and Lillie King Kellems.
She retired as the manager of Wooden Keg Liquors at Birdseye.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Hollis Batch, on Oct. 12, 1993; two brothers, Herb and James Kellems; and four sisters, Rose, June, Sara, and Martha.
Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Wade of Fishers, Linda Kost of New Salisbury and Debra Batch of Paoli; two sons, Gerald Batch of Jasper and Donald Batch of Texas; two sisters, Pat Dauphine of Kansas and Carol Blunk of Shelbyville; a brother, Louis Kellems of Tennessee; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.
Funeral: Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Birdseye Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Albert Madden.
