Corydon bank robbed
The Community First Bank office in downtown Corydon was robbed at approximately 10:34 a.m. today (Friday).
Indiana State Police say the robbery was committed by a white male, approximately 40 to 50 years of age, 5-feet, 8-inches to 6-feet tall, and medium to heavy build. He was wearing long pants, a long-sleeved dress shirt, eye glasses, and a baseball-style cap.
Police say the suspect made verbal demands to the bank employee and displayed a handgun. He fled out of the bank on foot. No direction of travel or vehicle information is available at this time.
The suspect made away with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. No one in the bank was injured. This case is being investigated by the state police with assistance from the Corydon Police Department and FBI.
