Thomas E. Sillings

Thomas Edward Sillings, 58, Leavenworth, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at the V.A. Medical Center in Louisville.
Born July 19, 1951, in Corydon, he was the son of Fairy Long Sillings Taylor of Georgetown and the late Richard Sillings.
He was a heavy equipment operator and a Marine veteran of the Vietnam era.
Survivors besides his mother include his companion, Evelyn Richardson of Leavenworth; a son, Thomas Jason Sillings of Floyds Knobs; a daughter, Tisha Sillings of New Albany; his stepfather, Earl Taylor of Georgetown; a brother, Richard (Dick) Sillings of Cobalt, Idaho; two sisters. Mary McAfee of Greenwood, Ark., and Patty Carver of Elgin, Ill.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, July 31, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 1, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
Funeral: Saturday, Aug. 1, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Heidelburg Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Roy McClain.
Pallbearers: Jimmy and Russell Pease, Daniel Gregory, Dale Mann, Dave McAfee and Joe DeMarsh.
Honorary pallbearers: Kevin Bostock and Adam Christie.
