Gordon Lawson

Gordon (Red) Lawson, 80, Corydon, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at Veterans Medical Center in Louisville.
Born April 13, 1929, in Romine, Ky., he was the son of the late Dee and Myrtie Young Lawson.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a retired carpenter for James L. Shireman & Sons.
Survivors include his wife, the former Edna W. Watson; two sons, Larry Wiseman of Laconia and Dennis Wiseman of Corydon; three daughters, Peggy Webb and Connie Becker, both of Corydon, and Betty Judd of Mauckport; a brother, Chester Lawson of Campbellsville, Ky.; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, July 24, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, July 25, after 8 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, July 25, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Central Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. John Bye.
Pallbearers: Jack Lawson, Alvin Greer, J.R. Bottoms, Tom Atwood, David Thornton and Jesse King.
