Charles G. Crady

Charles G. (Chuck) Crady, 80, Jeffersonville, died early Sunday morning, July 19, 2009, at his home.
Born April 27, 1929, in Kuttawa, Ky., he was the son of the late John Chester and Ruby Bell Brown Crady.
He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of Hobart VFW Post 1693 and Graceland Baptist Church, both in New Albany.
Besides is parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Faye Mushinski and Evelyn Crabb, and three brothers; Harold, Gerald and Glenn Crady.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, the former Joan Thompson; three children, Robby Crady of Elizabeth, Kathy Roydes of Clarksville and Ronnie Crady of Jeffersonville; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and a step-great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation: Wednesday, July 22, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Generations Funeral Home in New Albany and Thursday, July 23, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Graceland Baptist Church in New Albany.
Funeral: Thursday, July 23, at 11 a.m. at the church followed by burial in Abundant Life Cemetery in New Albany.
