James (Jim) Edward Redden, 77, Taswell, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at 4:04 p.m. at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.
Born Aug. 6, 1931, in New Albany, he was the son of the late Benjamin O. Redden and Alta Grace Frakes.
He was retired from Ford Motor Co. after 30 years, was a member of Highfill Chapel Church and was a past Master of Masonic Lodge 591 in Crandall.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Nelle Haines and Donna Miller.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, the former Dorthea (Dottie) Troncin; three children, James Eric Redden of New Salisbury, Jacqueline Keisker of Brandenburg and Jerry O. Redden of Corydon; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Visitation: Friday, July 10, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Denbo Funeral Home in English and Saturday, July 11, after 10 a.m. at Highfill Chapel Church in Taswell.
Funeral: Saturday, July 11, at 1 p.m. at the church with burial in Highfill Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. John Bye.
