Arlie R. Calloway

Arlie R. Calloway, 77, Salem, died Monday, July 6, 2009, at 9:30 a.m. at his home.
Born Feb. 26, 1932, in Corydon, he was the son of the late Roscoe R. and Goldie A. Kintner Calloway.
He served as a SP3 in the Army during the Korean War, was a retired farmer and was a member of Bunker Hill Christian Church in Salem.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, the former Thelma Louise Reynolds, on Oct. 16, 2007, and two sisters, Betty Tomes and Bonnie Calloway.
Survivors include four sons, Dennis Click and Bill and Joe Calloway, all of Salem, and John Calloway of Austin, Texas; three daughters, Teresa Floyd, Rosa Calloway and Rita Hawkins, all of Salem; two sisters, Elise Banet of Lanesville and Linda Murphy of Scottsburg; three brothers, Joy, Carl and Russell Calloway, all of Salem; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, July 9, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Dawalt Funeral Home in Salem.
Graveside service with full military honors: Friday, July 10, at 11 a.m. at Bunker Hill Cemetery in Salem.
Officiant: Wes Calloway.
