Dennis L. Deen

Dennis L. Deen, 61, Corydon, died Monday, June 15, 2009, at Floyd Memorial Hospital & Health Services in New Albany.
Born Aug. 10, 1947, in New Albany, he was the son of the late Carl O. Deen Sr. and Mildred McMonigle Deen.
He was an Army veteran, a retired heavy equipment operator and a member of the Methodist faith and Hornickle American Legion Post 379 in Elizabeth.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carl O. Deen Jr.
Survivors include his wife, the former Helen M. Phipps; a daughter, Denise Linderman of Corydon; three brothers, Steven Deen of Indianapolis, Thomas Deen of Greenville and Michael Deen of New Albany; and two granddaughters.
Visitation: Thursday, June 18, from 5 to 9 p.m., Friday, June 19, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, June 20, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, June 20, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Pfrimmer’s Chapel Cemetery east of Corydon.
Officiant: Pastor Betty Sieberns.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society.
