Evelyn E. Funk, 92, Elizabeth, died Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Katrina’s Elderly Care Home in Corydon.
Born May 24, 1917, in Elizabeth, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Susanna Buse.
She was a homemaker, a dairy farmer and a member of New Middletown United Methodist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; three brothers, Edgar, Earl and Paul Buse; and three sisters, Mildred Buse, Bertha Blake and Pauline Boldt.
Survivors include five children, Viola Behr of Elizabeth, Paul Funk of Boonville, Shirley Johnson of Bargersville, Leonard Funk of Palmyra and Donna Funk of Indianapolis; two sisters, Gladys Keith of Clarksville and Margaret Krousgrill of Elizabeth; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Tuesday, June 9, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in the New Middletown United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Robert Curry.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society.
