Bonnie L. Knight

Bonnie Lee Knight, 78, Borden, died Monday, May 25, 2009, at 5:28 p.m. at her home.
Born April 15, 1931, in Borden, she was the daughter of the late Frank Emery and Anna Lee Emery.
She was a retired employee of the old Smith Cabinet Manufacturing Co. in Salem and a member of Emmanuel Methodist Church in Pekin.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Kenneth Knight, on May 23, 1984; a son, Ronald K. Knight; and five brothers, Bill, Blaine, Ralph, Paul and Frankie Emery.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Dean Knight of Borden; two daughters, Brenda Colwell of Salem and Kenna Jo Thomason of Corydon; two sisters, Sue Lockenour of Pekin and Florence Lewellen of Scottsburg; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, May 27, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, May 28, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Dawalt Funeral Home in Salem.
Funeral: Thursday, May 28, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home followed by interment at Martinsburg Cemetery in Pekin.
Officiant: Pastor Joe McQuigg.
