Madge M. Fraley, 73, Lawrence, Kan., died Thursday, May 14, 2009, at her home.
Born Feb. 24, 1936, in St. Mary’s, Kan., she was the daughter of the late Wayne Millard and Irene Annabelle Ward Salisbury.
She was a 1954 graduate of St. Mary’s High School and attended Baker University and Emporia State University. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church and a certified Stephen Minister and trained lay speaker and occasionally was the pianist at various churches she and her husband attended or helped serve. She received the Paul Harris Fellow from the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Garold Wayne Salisbury.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Richard Fraley; a son, James A. Fraley of Lawrence; two daughters, Linda Martin and Nancy Childers, both of Lawrence; a brother, Ward Salisbury of Greenville; and five grandchildren.
Memorial service: Monday, May 18, at Central United Methodist Church.
Inurnment: Fairlawn Cemetery in Hutchinson, Kan.
