Jerry Marvin Parr

Jerry Marvin Parr, 78, Leavenworth, died Saturday, April 25, 2009, at 10:50 p.m. at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born June 24, 1930, in Cape Sandy, he was the son of the late James Burton Parr and Flossie Neff Cox.
He was a mechanic for Mulzer Crushed Stone Inc. for 32 years and a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and the Leavenworth Masonic Lodge.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Melinda Ruth Lynch and William Burton Parr; two brothers, Jim and Albert Parr; and four sisters, Mildred Parr, Imagene Morris, Margie Parr and Olive Mayhan.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, the former Dixie Roll; three children, Marvin Dewayne Parr, Jerry Neil Parr and Todd Anthony Parr, all of Leavenworth; a brother, Frank Parr of Leavenworth; two sisters, Mary Cox of Leavenworth and Bertie Austin of English; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral was yesterday (Tuesday) at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo with burial in East Cemetery. Brother Tony Dilley officiated.
