Walter G. Reimold, 82, Corydon, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Indian Creek Health & Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born March 9, 1927, in Detroit, he was the son of the late Carl and Alma Zabel Reimold.
He was a World War II Army veteran, a school bus owner and driver for more than 50 years for the South Harrison Community School Corp., a retired farmer, a truck driver for Smith Transfer, an employee at John Deere in Corydon and a member of Pfrimmer’s Chapel United Methodist Church near Corydon.
He was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Reimold.
Survivors include his wife, the former Dorothy Miller; a son, Dennis Reimold of Greenwood; a daughter, Diane Dissel of Chapel Hill, N.C.; a brother, John Reimold of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Visitation: Thursday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, April 17, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Friday, April 17, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Pfrimmer’s Chapel Cemetery near Corydon.
Officiants: The Revs. Tim Johnson and Douglas Finney.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Pfrimmer’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
