James C. Draper, 87, Leavenworth, died Saturday, April 11, 2009, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born March 19, 1922, in Harrison County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Ella Massey Draper.
He was a retired millwright and used car dealer, a member of Tower Full Gospel Church near Carefree, Millwright Union Local 2209 and Alton American Legion and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Maude and Martha Draper, and four brothers, John, Floyd, Melvin and Charles (Chod) Draper.
Survivors include his wife, the former Betty L. Froman; a son, Mark Draper of Corydon; two daughters, Linda Jo Watt of New Salisbury and Missy Farmer of Sherman, Texas; a sister, Bea Deal of Scottsburg; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, April 14, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon and Wednesday, April 15, after 10 a.m. at Tower Full Gospel Church.
Funeral: Wednesday, April 15, at 2 p.m. at the church.
Pallbearers: Shannon and Shawn Embry, Jerod, Larry and Carl Draper and Larry Hall.
Honorary pallbearers: Josh, Rob and Adam Williams.
The family suggests memorial gifts to his church.
