Samuel Conrad Jr.

Samuel Conrad Jr., 78, Taswell, died Saturday, March 28, 2009, at 12:37 p.m. at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born April 21, 1930, in Perry County, he was the son of the late Samuel Conrad Sr. and Anna Josephine McKim.
He was a drill operator for Mulzer Quarry for more than 25 years, an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the English VFW and Taswell Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, the former Judy Wright; two children, Joyce Cheatham and Kenny Conrad, both of Taswell; two brothers, Jennings Conrad of Sulphur and Eugene Teddy Conrad of English; four sisters, Evelyn Chappel of English, Viola Wright of Birdseye, Naomi Copper of Eckerty and Rosie Ridenour of Indianapolis; and three grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, March 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, March 31, after 9 a.m. at Denbo Funeral Home in English.
Funeral: Tuesday, March 31, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Taswell Cemetery.
Officiant: Brother Al Madden.
