Sharon D. Marsh, 60, Lanesville, died Friday, March 20, 2009, at the home of her sister in Elizabeth.
Born Sept. 10, 1948, in New Albany, she was the daughter of Geraldine Elizabeth Mattingly Houser of Elizabeth and the late August Willis.
She had been a certified nursing assistant at Indian Creek Health & Rehabilitation Center in Corydon, Green Valley Convalescent Center in New Albany and Northfield Centre in Louisville. She had been a volunteer for Hospice of Southern Indiana and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville.
Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Marsh.
Survivors besides her mother include two daughters, Stephanie D. Marsh of Lanesville and Josephine F. Brown of Elizabeth; a brother, Thomas Houser of Floyds Knobs; a sister, Linda S. Smith of Elizabeth; and two grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, March 23, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, March 24, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Tuesday, March 24, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville with burial in the church cemetery.
Officiant: Father Harold Ripperger.
Pallbearers: Steve Smith, Tom Houser, John Brown, David Blocker, Phillip Richard, Duane Cassidy, Steve Crosby and Dustin Campbell.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the family.
