Clarence T. Kendall Sr.

Clarence T. (Sonny) Kendall Sr., 92, Brandenburg, died Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at his home.
He was a retired operator for Kosmos Cement Co. and a member of Weldon Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Kendall; two sons, Bill and Clarence (Junior) Kendall Jr.; and a stepson, Paul Thomas Kendall.
Survivors include his wife, the former Margaret Willett; six children, Marvin E. Kendall and Polly Russell, both of Brandenburg, Ronald D. of Copperas Cove, Texas, Michael L. Kendall of St. Clair, Quebec, Canada, Barbara Durbin of Fairdale, Ky., and Peggy Sheffield of Louisville; eight stepchildren, Bev Fredward Kendall, Schelia Marie Evans, Rofenia Lee Muntz, Marcella Alluria, Ricky Lynn Kendall and James Reginald Kendall, all of Corydon, Deborah Ann Thompson of New Albany and Margaret Rose Williams of Jackson, Ky.; two sisters, Anna Belle Bennett and Dorothy Smothers, both of Valley Station, Ky.; a half brother, Elmer David Pipes of West Point, Ky.; 29 grandchildren; 23 step-grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; 31 step-great-grandchildren; 30 great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, Feb. 19, from 1 to 8 p.m. at Hager Funeral Home in Brandenburg.
Funeral: Friday, Feb. 20, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Cap Anderson Cemetery.
