Arvil E. Kraft

Arvil E. Kraft, 93, Corydon, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, at Indian Creek Health & Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born Feb. 16, 1915, in Webster Township, Harrison County, he was the son of the late George Henry and Catherine A. Buse Kraft.
He retired from farming in 1978 and moved to New Middletown. He was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church near Corydon, was a member of Harrison County Farm Bureau and was a former trustee of Webster Township.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Theodore, Manfred, Stanford and Ernest Kraft, and five sisters, Alma Howard, Anna Kraft, Golda Alcock, Thelma Ferree and Isabel Carwile.
Survivors include his wife, the former Josie Elizabeth Cunningham; two daughters, Anna Kraft of Springfield, Ill., and Mary Blair of Corydon; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Friday, Jan. 30, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers: Bill and Marc Blair and Eldon Bickels.
Honorary pallbearers: Larry Kraft, John Blair, Carl Miller and Joe Hostler.
