William C. Best

William C. (Bill) Best, 59, Lanesville, died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born April 27, 1949, in Harrison County, he was the son of Darlene Nance Best of Georgetown and the late Cecil Best.
He was employed at Gibson Cattle Co. in Lanesville, was formerly employed at Paramount Plywood in New Albany and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church near Lanesville.
Survivors besides his mother include his wife, the former Elaine M. Bell; a daughter, Kathy J. Best of Webster, Ky.; several brothers and sisters; and a grandson.
Visitation: Monday, Feb. 2, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 3, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in St. John’s Cemetery near Lanesville.
Officiants: The Revs. Christopher Truelsen and Richard Heinz.
Pallbearers: Corey and Clinton Bell, Bobby Bailey, Jamie Hiser, Dave Blocker and D.J. Haste.
