Flossie M. Jordan

Flossie Mae Jordan, 76, New Albany, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born April 18, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Troy L. and Mary L. Toops Cox.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver C. Jordan, and a sister, Mary Jordan.
Survivors include seven daughters, Juanita L. Hoke of Palmyra, Mary J. Walker of Corydon, Connie S. Hoke of Tallahassee, Fla., Carol A. Combs of Wilmore, Ky., Kathy M. Porter of Marengo, and Brenda K. Herron and Paula J. Lawrence, both of Pekin; two brothers, Minlow Cox of Tucson, Ariz., and Ted Jones of New Salisbury; four sisters, Minnie Davis of New Washington, Betty Kemp of Palmyra, and Doris Emmons and Thea Jones, both of New Albany; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, Jan. 15, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 16, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Friday, Jan. 16, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
Officiant: The Rev. Glenn Jordan.
Pallbearers: Scott, Steve and Shaun Walker, Eric and Danny Herron, Billy Darnell, Christopher Combs and Alex Lawrence.
